Let's Try Writing!

What

As I close in on 10 years of programming experience, I figured it's about time I put some of my thoughts down on paper.

I don't know exactly what kind of things I'll write about, but it'll likely be focused on PHP or some stories from my professional experience.

How

This will also be the first time I try to build an actual blog. "Build" is a strong word, since I intend to start out in a radically simple manner. It would be great if I could use a tool like Obsidian to put some of my ideas in to a digital form, and through some light automation, pipe the markdown files to this website.

I'm already parsing markdown for one or two things on this website, so I'll just piggy-back on that, and hope that we are good to go. I don't think building a fancy CMS for some infrequent writing makes any sense.

Why

One of my main goals for this blog is to take some of my fleeting ideas and expand on them, to see where they go. I don't have enough mental capacity to unpack even just some of my ideas without writing them down, especially when navigating my professional and personal lives.

I hope some of my what I have to say could be useful to others too, and if not, I hope writing them down will be useful to me!
